Purchased a new set of the 2012 TaylorMade burner irons about a month ago and to me was quite a big investment and is the most expensive I have ever paid for a set of irons.
Ultra-light shafts and grips are used throughout the 2012 Burner iron set. TaylorMade says the MOI of these irons are greater than any other company set; and the center of gravity location is progressive throughout the set.
These are very forgiving Golf Clubs Sale. They’re not as forgiving as their Shovel Headed corporate sibling Super Launch version, but then again–these aren’t exactly modeled after the old Tommy Armour T-100’s either. After all these are “Game Improvement” clubs, vs. “Super Game Improvement”, but on occasion, you’ll pure one of these and swear you’re playing with “A Player’s Club.” You may have to do a double take once in a blue moon to make sure that really isn’t a blade in your hand that just split the narrow opening in the tree line and hooked its way towards the green. These and the new Callaway Diabloes have proven the real surprise in “Game Improvement” clubs this year. Though not quite buttery as Mizuno Forged, they are still silkier through impact than anything off of their respective production lines in years. That is why the rather large amount of forgiveness you get from these clubs comes as such a surprise to me.
Based on product testing and player feedback results show the Burner Irons are 10-15 yards longer hits than its competitors or previous TaylorMade Irons. A longer, light shafts and a extra thin club face with high COR make this a superb club for generating ball speed and yardage gains.
